Prime Minister Meets Spanish Ambassador in Aden

Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed Awadh bin Mubarak met Thursday with Spanish Ambassador to Yemen, Jorge Ibia Sierra.

They discussed prospects for enhancing bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, developments in the national, regional, and international situations, as well as issues of mutual interest.

Ambassador Sierra conveyed to the Prime Minister the greetings of his Spanish counterpart, Pedro Sánchez, and affirmed his country's support for the Yemeni government and its efforts to overcome existing challenges, implement reforms, and alleviate humanitarian suffering.

He reiterated Spain's commitment to supporting peace efforts in Yemen and ensuring freedom of navigation and international trade in the Red Sea.

The Prime Minister welcomed the new Spanish ambassador and wished him success in his duties, which would enhance the friendship and cooperation between Yemen and Spain.

He assured that the government would provide all forms of cooperation to facilitate his mission in developing and advancing mutual interests.

The Prime Minister highlighted the government's vision to overcome current challenges, its stance on peace, and the necessary international support to maintain economic stability and efforts to restore the state and end the Iranian-backed Houthi coup.
