Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Dr. Rashad al-Alimi held a meeting on Monday with the Joint Security and Military Committee formed under the power transfer declaration.

The President listened to a report from the Chairman of the Security and Military Committee Major General Haitham Qasem Taher, along with the deputy and members of the committee regarding the latest developments in their work, the necessary actions to implement their recommendations and the objective of integrating the armed forces as outlined in the power transfer declaration.

He praised the achievements of the Security and Military Committee during its past work period and emphasized their recommendations aimed at enforcing the rule of law, enhancing the capabilities of the armed forces and security and improving the conditions of their personnel at all levels.

He reiterated the full support of the Presidential Leadership Council for the Security and Military Committee to complete its tasks as stipulated in its formation decision.
