The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC( held a meeting today, Sunday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, with the attendance of its members Sultan al-Arada, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, and via video call Abdul-Rahman al-Mahrami and Othman Majli, while Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh and Faraj al-Bahsni were absent with an excuse.

Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi held a meeting here today with the national Economic and Humanitarian Crisis Management Committee headed by Prime Minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak.
The meeting brought together several government officials including the head of the economic team Hussam Al-Sharjabi, ministers of Foreign Affairs, Transport, and Oil and Minerals as well as officials from the Ministry of Finance, the Central bank and the national airlines, the Yemenia.
The premier briefed al-Alimi on the current economic situation, the measures necessary to contain inflation, public budget deficit, and the devaluation of the national currency, the rial.
The briefing covered economic, financial and monetary indicators, and the latest changes in the national currency in light of the continued halt in oil exports, the rise in shipping prices and the catastrophic impact of that on living conditions due to terrorist Houthi attacks.
The gathering officials listened to a report on the operation of the Crisis Management Committee during the past period, and a presentation on the challenges facing Yemenia Airlines, due to the continued hijacking of a number of the company's aircraft by the Houthi militias, the confiscation of its funds and the risks posed to the national carrier by these arbitrary practices.
