His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received today, Wednesday, at al-Ma'shiq Palace, in the temporary capital Aden, the Norwegian Special Envoy to Yemen Heidi Johnson.
The conversations covered the latest Yemeni developments, regional and international efforts to get Houthi militias earnestly engaged in the ongoing endeavors to revive the peace process and deter the terrorist attacks on oil facilities and international shipping lanes that have further worsened the economic hardships in Yemen.
President al-Alimi significantly valued the supportive stance of the Kingdom of Norway on the side of the Yemeni people, its political leadership and its struggle for restoring the state's institutions, peace, stability and development.
The Chairman of the PLC reiterated the commitment of the PLC and the government to achieve the fair and comprehensive peace that is based on the nationally, regionally and internationally agreed on peace references, namely the UNSC resolution 2216.
