His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) met today, Sunday, in the temporary capital Aden with Chief of the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC) Judge Mohsen bin Talib and the members of the SJC.

Judge bin Talib delivered the President Ali Alimi a copy of a draft bill about an amendment of the Law no ( 4) about the judiciary fees and a copy of an amendment draft to amend article (40) about the fines and money compensation instead of death penalty in accordance with the Republican decree no (12) of 1994 about the crimes and penalties in their amended format by the Law no (32) of 2006.

The two amendments aim to reduce unfair lawsuits that used to be filed in the Primary Courts and to hold the perpetrators accountable for their crimes, deter attacks on the peoples' lives and bodies by establishing severe punishments.

The President was briefed on the achievements made by the SJC over the previous period and the SJC's future plans to further improve the Judiciary Authority situations and the law enforcement services in coordination with the Ministry of Justice and the state's institutions in charge.

The Chief of the SJC and its members cited a number of entitlements and necessary financial requirements in order to bolster the role of the judiciary authority in establishing justice values and enforcing the rule of law, protecting rights and public freedoms.

The Chairman of the PLC praised the significant achievements realized by the SJC since it has been reformed, underling the key role it should play in delivering justice and enforcing the rule of law amid the war devastating circumstances triggered by Iran-backed Houthi terrorism militias.

President al-Alimi directed the government to work on removing all obstacles the judiciary authority faced by.

He ordered the government to give the judiciary authority members a priority in terms of the medication grants inside the country for the serious diseases. He also urged immediate arrangements to enroll new batches of students in the High Judiciary Institute.

The President briefed the leadership of the SJC on the developments of the political and economic situations and the track of the economic and services reforms as well as the government's efforts to alleviate the humanitarian suffering despite of the disastrous repercussions of the Houthi militias' attacks on the oil facilities and the international marine navigation.

The Chairman of the PLC highlighted the significant role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince, His Royal Highness, Prince Mohammed bin Salman in helping the government to continue to deliver on its obligations and to mitigate the effects of the financial shortages upon the humanitarian situations and the basic services.
