President al-Alimi: We're fighting multi- facets battle against the militias, revoking CBY's decisions makes national interests above

His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) said" The battle against Iran-backed terrorist Houthi militias is a multi-facets. We're fighting military, economic, political, intellectual and cultural battle".

His Excellency reiterated the PLC's and the government's support for the legitimate demands of the fellow citizens in Hadramout governorate, giving it a remarkable priority and position it deserves due to its resources and its distinctive peculiarity as an example for peace, security, stability and tolerance.

In an interview with Hadramout governmental TV Channel, His Excellency confirmed the commitment of the state's leadership to address the political demands of the fellow citizens in Hadramout, noting that Hadramout has become represented in the central institutions and it has already today run its own local affairs in different fields by its own people.

The President has affirmed the commitment of the PLC and the government to the decision about granting Hadramout governorate its portion of oil exports revenues, he declared that the government will be keen to give Hadramout an additional projects in case that the state's resources are resumed, peace and security realized in the country.

Regarding Houthi militias, the President said "there are two projects in Arab region. One led by Iran, it is a scheme of destruction, sabotage and chaos, it isn't only in Yemen but in the entire region from Iraq to Lebanon to Syria.

There is another project for development, stability and peace promoted by the moderate countries in the region led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco and GCC's member states and the international recognized Yemeni government".

" We're not warmongers but peace seekers, we have confirmed this repeatedly since the creation of the PLC", he added.

The Chairman of the PLC cited the government's economic reforms, affirming that the Central Bank of Yemen (CBY) is taking its decisions independently about the monetary policy and monitoring over the banks and the exchange firms, moreover its decisions about the economic reforms packages to counter the steps taken by the terrorist Houthi militias against the banking system in the militia-controlled regions.

He noted that the revoke of the CBY's recent decisions was intended to put the public interest above all.

The President held Houthi militias and Iran responsible for damaging the national currency by targeting oil facilities and international marine navigation, halting the development and exports drive.

The Chairman of the PLC praised the significant support by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the GCC's member states that helped the Yemeni government to keep delivering on its obligations and foiling the terrorist militias' plan aimed to engulf the country in an overwhelming humanitarian crisis.

The President confirmed that southern issue is given top priority by the government's negotiating team in any upcoming peace talks.

He said " We acknowledged the Southern Issue long time ago, we discussed the southern issue in the National Dialogue Conference, it has its own special status, it is first in any upcoming negotiations proposal".
