Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received US Ambassador to Yemen Steven Fagin on Sunday.
The meeting discussed mutual relations between the two friendly countries and latest national and regional developments and a number of issues of common concern.
President al-Alimi reviewed economic and administrative reforms adopted by the Presidential Council and the government and needed international support to enhance them.
President al-Alimi touched upon recent Houthi terrorist militia's violations to human rights against a number of activists and international and UN workers, within continuous undermining of peace process and complicating humanitarian crisis of the Yemeni people.
He confirmed importance of international pressures, decisions and punishments against Houthi terrorist militia, pointing out to international community's responsibilities of combating smuggling of Iranian weapons to the terrorist militia.
