The President of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Mohammed al-Alimi received on Monday the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Yemen Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi.
During the meeting, they discussed the bilateral relations between the two countries and the two brotherly peoples, as well as the promising prospects for enhancing these relations in various fields.
President al-Alimi briefed the Emirati ambassador on the latest developments in the Yemeni situation and the support required to strengthen the economic and financial position, improve basic services, and move forward with comprehensive reforms in the country.
He praised the distinguished bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and the role of the United Arab Emirates within the coalition supporting legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in order to restore the Yemeni state institutions, security, peace, and development.
The President also praised the Emirati humanitarian interventions to alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people, including their development programs in the field of renewable energy, with their first project set to commence operations in the temporary capital of Aden next month.
