His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) met today, Thursday, with the Special Envoy of the Russian President to the Middle East and North Africa, Deputy Russian Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov on the sideline of Arab Summit in Manama Arab Summit.

Yemeni-Russian bilateral relations and cooperation was key focus of the conversations.

The talks also touched upon the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena, developments in the Red Sea and the required Russian role in contributing toward containing their repercussions upon international peace and security.

The Chairman of the PLC highly praised the Yemen-Russian robust relations, deeply appreciating the Russian Federation's supportive stance in support of the Yemeni people and its internationally recognized government and leadership.
