President al-Alimi receives Egyptian parliamentarian, media delegation

His Excellency (HE) President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) received a high-profile Egyptian parliamentary and media delegation within the ongoing political and media activities in the interim capital Aden.

The delegation included a member of the House of Representatives Mostafa Bakri, a member of the Senate media senator and researcher Dr. Abdel Moneim Saeed, former Editor-in-chief of al-Ahram newspaper Osama Saraya, Managing editor of al-Ahram Ashraf al-Ashry, Director of the Center for Arab-Eurasian Studies Amr Abdel Hamid, CEO of TEN channel Nashat al-Daihi and journalist at the Egyptian Press Foundation Fathia al-Dakhakhni.

HE the updated the Egyptian delegation on the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena, including the prospects to revive the peace process and its complexities amid the terrorist Houthi militias' ongoing escalation on several fronts.

The President recalled the government's initiatives aimed to put an end of the humanitarian suffering that has been further exacerbated by the HOuthi militias' terrorist attacks on oil facilities, commercial ships and international shipping lanes
President al-ALimi underlined the leading role of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates in supporting the Yemeni people that significantly contributed to maintain the Yemeni state institutions and alleviating the suffering of the Yemeni people.

HE cited the recent decision of the Saudi Council of Ministers, which approved that the Saudi government is going to undertake the fees and fines to correct the situation of displaced people from neighboring countries, first of all the Yemeni residents in the Kingdom, as an example for the Saudi support for the Yemeni people.

HE also praised the supportive stances of Egyptian leadership, government and people in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni leadership, government and people throughout different stages and circumstances.

The Chairman of the PLC highly appreciated the leading role of the Egyptian media in supporting the Yemeni cause.
