Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad al-Alimi received the Ambassador of the French Republic, Catherine Corm Kammoun here on Monday.

Talks centered on the bilateral French-Yemeni relations, the local developments, and regional developments, including the repercussions of the terrorist Houthi attacks on maritime shipping, and the opportunities to achieve peace in Yemen based on the Saudi and UN Special Envoy's endeavors to broker peace.

Al-Alimi was briefed by the French Ambassador on the outcomes of her recent contacts with Yemeni stakeholders and regional and international actors, and the French assessments of the situation and developments in the region and ways to contain the repercussions of the developments.
