President al-Alimi makes usual medical checks

An official source at the Office of the Republic Presidency said His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) finished today, Saturday, regular medical checks he made in the Federal Republic of Germany, done over several days.

His Excellency did the medical checks after he had contributed to Munich Conference on International Security which this year gave much attention to the regional developments in Middle East including the repercussions of the Houthis' terrorist attacks on the shipping lanes in the Red Sea, most recent of its disasters is the drowning of Rubymar ship.

The Chairman of the PLC warned, in his contribution to a symposium during Munich Conference about Yemen, the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden, of the lethal risks of the Houthi militias' marine piracy actions, attacks on the shipping lanes and the persistent of the Iranian weapons flow to this global terrorist organization.

In his discussions with the participants in Munich Conference, President al-Alimi stressed that it is very important for the international community to support the Yemeni government, enable it to enforce its sovereignty over all Yemeni territories, seashores and regional waters, ensure the security of maritime navigation and international security and peace.
