Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Mohammed Al-Alimi and Council member Othman Mujali have received the United Nations Special Envoy Hans Grundberg.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and the council's member received a briefing from the UN envoy regarding the latest developments in his coordinated efforts with brothers and friends to resume a comprehensive Yemeni political process under the auspices of the United Nations.
The meeting touched on developments in the local situation and the international pressure required to push the Houthi militias towards seriously engaging with peace efforts, ending the suffering of the Yemeni people, and restoring legitimate institutions.
The Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council reiterated the support of the Council and the government for the efforts of the United Nations, and its keenness to provide all facilities to its special envoy to fulfill his duties and responsibilities covered by international resolutions, in particular Resolution 2216.The meeting was attended by the Director of the Office of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Saleh Al-Maqaleh.
