His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, along with the Member of the Council Aidarous al-Zubaidi received today, Tuesday, Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed al-Nahyan on the sideline of the sessions of the UNGA.
Bilateral relations between the two sisterly countries and the prospects to further enhancing them in different field was key focus of the meeting.
The President praised the distinguished Yemeni-Emirati relationships, deeply appreciating the UAE's role, its sacrifices within the Arab Coalition in support of legality and its developmental and humanitarian interventions to allay the Yemeni people's suffering, and to achieve its aspirations to eliminate the Houthi militias' coup, restore the state's institutions, development and peace.
President al-Alimi briefed the Emeriti Minister on the Yemeni situation latest developments including the chances to achieve the fair and comprehensive peace in pursuant to the nationally, regionally and internationally agreed on references of the peace in light of the intransigence of the Iranian regime backed Houthi militias.
The Emirati Foreign Minister confirmed his country's continuing support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the coordinated economic and financial support with the brothers and friends.
