President Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, met today, Saturday, with the Security Committee and military leaders in Al-Mahra Governorate, in the presence of the governorate’s governor, Chairman of the Committee, Muhammad Ali Yasser.

At the meeting, the head of the Presidential Leadership Council stressed the importance of enhancing the high vigilance that the security and military services have shown in Al-Mahra Governorate during the last period.

The head of the Presidential Leadership Council praised the successes achieved by the local authority and its security services in law enforcement, especially in terms of combating the smuggling of weapons and drugs, and criminal elements belonging to terrorist groups, including the Iran backed Houthi militia.

The head of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the keenness of the Council and the government to support the efforts of the local authorities in the liberated governorates to establish security, stability, and public peace.

The meeting discussed a number of security and military issues and topics, and reviewed the measures taken in this regard in coordination with the various concerned agencies.
