The Chairman of the Shura Council, Dr. Ahmed Obaid bin Daghr, chaired a meeting with a number of council members. At the meeting, Dr. Bin Daghr praised the efforts of President Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, and members of the Presidential Leadership Council, in dealing with events, changes, continuous transformations, and the difficult circumstances that Yemen is going through.

He saluted the supportive efforts of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the countries of the Arab coalition to end the Houthi coup, restore the state, preserve the unity and sovereignty of Yemen, and achieve security and stability, which will inevitably benefit Yemen and neighboring countries, and the security and safety of international navigation.

Dr. Bin Dagher called on the Security Council, the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights, and the UN and US envoys to work firmly to put pressure on the Houthi terrorist militia to lift the siege on Taiz governorate, open the roads and passages leading to it, and release the rest of the prisoners and abductees.
