Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, today laid the foundation stone for the construction of the conveyor line for the Mocha fresh water project, "the liquefaction system", in order to cover the growing need for fresh water in the major cities of the West Coas. ‏ During the inauguration, Brigadier General Tariq said that the project is part of a series of development and service projects aimed at improving the quality of life and services.

congratulating the sons of Mocha for this vital project. He stressed that the project is part of an integrated system to enhance water resources in the areas of the West Coast and the city of Taiz, funded by the United Arab Emirates.

He stressed the need for the executing agency to redouble efforts to complete its implementation within the specified time period and to start pumping water to Mocha.

The conveyor line project, which is being implemented by the Humanitarian Action Cell, consists of a main line with a length of 15 kilometers and a diameter of 10 inches, as it extends from the new water field in the "Tafilia" area in the Mocha countryside, to the distribution tanks in the city, in addition to sub-lines that feed some villages and camps along the line.

The laying of the foundation stone was attended by the Undersecretary of Taiz Governorate, Aref Jamil, the Director of the Water Corporation in Taiz, Samir Abdel-Wahed, the Director of the Rural Water Authority in Tariq Al-Razzaz Governorate, Brigadier General Ahmed Al-Kawkabani, the Director General of the Mocha Directorate, Bassem Al-Zuraiqi, and the Director of the Water Corporation in Mocha, Abdullah Iskandar.
