Presidential Leadership Council held a session today, Thursday, presided over by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council devoted to discuss the latest developments in the national arena, particularly topical issues relating to the economic, financial and services status quo in the interim capital Aden and government-held governorates.
The Council emphasizing the importance of securing the sufficient quotas of fuels to operate the electricity supplies, urging bolstering the role of the monitoring authorities to handle the deficiencies in the vital services sector.
The Presidential Council has confirmed its commitment along with the government to fulfill their obligations to boost the monetary and financial stability, improve the capacities of the State to access its public revenues and go on the comprehensive reforms backed by the international community.
The Council has reassured the citizens that necessary measures to be taken to ensure fulfilling the government's obligations about regular payments of the salaries and necessary funds to import basic commodities with support from the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.
The Council also discussed the developments of the regional and international efforts to renew the truce and revive the political process to ensure eliminating the Houthi militias' coup, restore the State's institutions, establish security, stability, development and peace all over the country.
The Presidential Leadership Council has warned the Houthi militias of the consequences of its continuing military attacks and grave violations of human rights.
The Council called on the international community to abandon its silence toward the Houthi militias' intransigence, act to respond to the Yemeni people's desires to establish its modern statehood, ensures its exclusive right to control power, ensures the participation of the whole Yemenis in making their own future.
