The Head of the Technical Team for Relief and International Cooperation at the Office of the Presidency of the Republic, Dr. Maryam Al-Doghani, discussed today, in the interim capital, Aden, with the Director of Field Operations at UNICEF strengthening efforts to support the educational sector in Yemen.
The meeting also touched on the educational sector's need for water and environmental sanitation projects, and the need for projects that would contribute to improving the conditions of young people and the disabled of different age groups, whose numbers have increased due to the war.
Dr. Al-Doghani reviewed the conditions of the educational process, and the most prominent challenges and difficulties it faces, especially with the approaching start of the new academic year and the return of students to schools.. stressing the need for sustainable projects, and the importance of enhancing joint coordination with the government side and civil society organizations to implement projects.
