Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani met today, Saturday, with Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to the Republic of Yemen Mohammed Azua'bi.

The session intended to discuss Yemeni-Emirati bilateral relations and cooperation and the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena.

Al-Brakani put emphasize on the key role of the UAE alongside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) in supporting the Yemeni people and countering Houthi militia and the Iranian scheme, calling on the two countries to bail out the Yemeni economy.

He said" The KSA's leadership along with the UAE's have been the fortified bastion for preserving Yemen, foiling the suspected sectarian-racist schemes and the two countries are called to rescue Yemen and bail out the deteriorated economy in the wake of Houthi militia's attacks on the oil exports seaport at this critical stage".

The Speaker of the Parliament stated that the peace option is the best way to get Yemen out of the current dilemma but the Houthis have never been truly peace partner, "peace options have never been a priority for the Houthis as their ambitions are greater, have no limits", said al-Brakani.

The Emirati Ambassador confirmed that the UAE and KSA are jointly and mutually working hard to rescue Yemen, restore its legality, maintain the republican regime, the Yemeni state's institutions in its national soils.
