Prime Minister praises American support for Yemeni government, people

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik highly praised the American supportive stances in support of the Yemeni government and people, deeply appreciating the significant efforts of the U.S. Envoy to Yemen Timothy Lenderking to mobilize the international support for the government at this critical stage.

He voiced his comments during his conversations today, Wednesday, with Mr. Lenderking over the latest developments in the Yemeni national arena and the required international support for the government to cope with the challenges it has been facing.

The discussions touched upon Houthi militias' escalation, rejection to the peace proposals and the economic war it has been launching against the Yemeni people including its terrorist attacks on oil seaports and its illegal measures targeting the banking businesses and movement of the goods.

DR. Ma'een underlined the challenges facing the government in different fields, its efforts to deal with and the urgently needed international support to sustain the government's actions.

Mr. Lenderking stated that the U.S. administration is keen to support the government's efforts to alleviate the Yemeni people' suffering and its institutions.

He expressed rejection to the Houthi militias' escalation and its recent economic war which is in compatible with the regional and international efforts to push peace, launch a comprehensive political process.
