Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik praised China's firm support for Yemeni legitimacy, its support for regional, international efforts to establish peace and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people as a result of the war sparked by the terrorist Houthi militia, and its active role in making peace at the regional and global levels.

During his meeting today with Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy to Yemen, the Prime Minister touched on the economic war waged by the terrorist Houthi militia against the Yemeni people, and the role of Chinese friends in supporting the government's efforts to confront it, stressing that the continuation of this economic war hinders the peace process and exacerbates it humanitarian crisis.

Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik affirmed the government's keenness to reactivate the various areas of bilateral cooperation between Yemen and China, in a way that serves the common interests of the two friendly countries and peoples, hailing the Chinese humanitarian and development support, which is currently Yemen's largest trading partner.

In turn, the Chargé d'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy renewed his country's support for the government and the Presidential Leadership Council, and its keenness to reach a sustainable peace in Yemen and move to the stage of reconstruction and development through its role regionally or in the Security Council.
