PM calls for international support to efforts to deter Houthi economic war

Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik has called on the international community and the United Nations to take quick action to support the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government, and the Saudi-led Legitimacy Backing coalition, to deter the economic war waged by the Houthi militia against the Yemeni people, and its arbitrary measures against the private sector and banks and the restrictions it imposed on the movement of individuals, goods and humanitarian aid.

During a meeting held today, Sunday, with heads of missions, ambassadors, and representatives of brotherly and friendly countries accredited to Yemen, the Prime Minister affirmed that this systematic Houthi war threatens and undermines all opportunities for peace and eliminates the ongoing efforts in this regard, pointing out that the state and government will not stand by in front of this Houthi war that affects and threatens the daily lives and livelihood of citizens, and that all options are on the table to dealing with that.

Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik acquainted the ambassadors accredited to Yemen on the wide and continuing problems facing the government and its vision to deal with the Houthi economic war and what is required of Yemen's partners at this critical stage to support the efforts of the government and the Yemeni people.

He pointed out that the government formed according to the Riyadh Agreement and with political consensus Broad will not abandon its responsibility to take whatever is necessary to preserve the economic and humanitarian situation from collapse, and the importance of all national forces sensing their responsibilities and duties at this stage.

Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik also spoke about the various challenges and obstacles that hinder the government from performing its work, improving the services provided, and maintaining the stability of the economic situation, which is required by the international community in this aspect.
