Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Dr. Mohammed al-Zaouri called on the international donors to mobilize more financial support for the economic and developmental projects in Yemen to sustain the government's efforts to cope with the economic crisis the country has been experiencing.

Speaking today, Thursday, at the 111 Session of the International Labor Conference held in Geneva he said" Houthi militia-triggered war for more than eight years has produced a catastrophic humanitarian situation and an extremely severe economic crisis in our country, resulted in depreciating national currency value, skyrocketing commodity prices, tens of thousands workers lost their jobs".

The Minister went on saying " Houthi militias' terrorist attacks on oil exports seaports have stopped oil exports, prevented the internationally recognized government from the key source of revenues, seriously exacerbated the economic hardships the Yemeni people have been enduring, amplified the formidable challenges facing the government that has been struggling to run its daily activities, maintain basic services ".
