Prime Minister praises British support for government's efforts to manage the economic hardships

Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik highly praised the UK's significant support for the Yemen government's ongoing efforts to handle the current challenges, mainly the economic ones, deeply appreciating the British contribution to the regional and international efforts aiming to end the war, establish peace in Yemen.

His comments came during his discussions today, Thursday, with Ambassador of the United Kingdom (UK) to the Republic of Yemen Richard Oppenheim.

Dr. Ma'een's conversations with Oppenheim covered a range of topics including the latest developments about the Yemeni situation, British support for the government's ongoing reforms and efforts to maintain the economic stability, basic services and alleviate the Yemeni peoples' suffering.

The regional and international good offices to establish peace were also touched upon.

The Prime Minister cited the challenges facing the government in the areas of economy, finance, basic services, underlining the need for an urgent international support to help maintaining the economic stability.

The British Ambassador reiterated his country's support for the Yemeni government's efforts to maintain the economic stability and carry out the required reforms.
