Minister of Finance Salim bin Bureik held discussions today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden with a delegation includes a number of Ambassadors from countries of the European Union (EU) to Yemen.
The talks covered a range of issues including the economic, developmental and humanitarian projects funded by the EU the economic and financial reforms program the Yemeni government has been implementing, the progress made and the challenges need to managed, most notable of all is the repercussions of the Houthi militias' terrorist attacks on the oil seaports that have seriously affected the government's revenues.
The Minister praised the EU's significant efforts to support Yemen in the political, economic and humanitarian fields. He also highlighted the Ministry's need for more support in the areas of capacity building, technological devices and information systems.
The European Ambassadors confirmed the continuation of the EU's support for the Presidential Leadership Council, the Government and the Finance Ministry's reforms.
