Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Basuhaib, discussed today in the interim capital, Aden, with a delegation from the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs the level of humanitarian interventions and projects within the support provided by the Swedish government to our country.

The meeting touched on the progress of implementing a package of development projects in education, water, food, livelihood, peace promotion, mine action and psychological care services.

Dr. Basuhaib appreciated the pivotal role played by the Swedish government in peace, reconstruction, development and the desired economic recovery, stressing the government's keenness to develop the frameworks of international organizations in accordance with the projects and actual needs included in the humanitarian response plan, and work to strengthen the institutional and technical capabilities of organizations in accordance with the basis of partnership and integration between the governmental sides and regional and international partners.

In a separate context, the Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation discussed today, in Aden, with the Deputy Representative of UNICEF in Yemen the organization's intervention plan and programs for the current year, and the mechanisms used to implement the nutrition report in Yemen for the coming years.
