BRICS group confirms support to Yemen's independence, sovereignty

A meeting for the Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of BRICS countries and special envoys for the Middle East and North Africa Area has confirmed their support to Yemen's sovereignty, independence and territorial safety.
The official of BRICS group also confirmed their support to a political settlement to Yemen's issue.
In the final communique for the meeting held in Cape Town, the group's officials called all Yemeni parties to resume truce and engage in inclusive negotiations to be brokered by the UN, conveying their commendation to efforts of the UN envoy for Yemen, the Gulf Cooperation Council and concerned parties contributed in finding political solution to the conflict in Yemen.
They welcomed the Saudi recent initiative for making direct talks between Saudi Arabia and Houthi militia.
