Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Amsterdam, Netherlands, Saher Ghanim held discussions today, Tuesday, with the Dutch Minister for Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation Liesje Schreinemacher over the latest developments about Safer Oil Tanker issue.
Ghanim detailed Schreinemacher on the Yemeni government's efforts to facilitate the implementation of the UN's Plan to Deal with Safer Tanker.
The Ambassador hailed the Yemeni-Dutch relations as historic and robust, highly praising the significant contribution of the Netherlands to the development drive in Yemen for decades, deeply appreciating the Dutch contribution to the humanitarian actions in Yemen during the war-times.
The Dutch Minister underscored the importance of joining efforts to implement the UN's Plan to handle Safer Oil Tanker as soon as possible to avert a looming environmental disaster.
A number of senior officials of the Dutch Foreign Ministry, Representatives of the Permanent Member states of the International Security Council, Germany, Sweden and Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Kuwait and the Charged' Affairs of the Egyptian embassy were in attendance.
