Minister of Information Muammar Al-Eryani, confirmed that the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia's abandonment of their prisoners of war in the government's jails is neither new nor surprising.

El-Iryani said in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), that since the Stockholm Agreement of 2018, the Houthi militia has stalled negotiation rounds regarding prisoner exchange on the basis of "all for all" release, by making excuses and evading commitments, and offering a list of only members from certain families and regions whom the militia is interested in securing their release, without concern for the fate of others the racist militia sees as inferior.

Al-Eryani welcomed the unilateral initiative of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to release (104) Houthi prisoners, whom the militia denied and refused even to recognize as prisoners who fought and worked within their ranks. Al-Eryani denounced the allegations made by the terrorist Houthi militia regarding this batch of prisoners, which is an extension of its irresponsible and opportunistic abuse of this and other humanitarian files, and its use as material for bidding, pressure and extortion, without any regard for the fate of the prisoners, or the suffering of their families.
