Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, received this evening the Swedish envoy to Yemen, Peter Semneby, and his deputy, Eric Shantz.

The meeting discussed developments in the political process in Yemen in the light of the talks that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is conducting with the Houthi militia to reach a roadmap to end the conflict and make peace under the umbrella of the United Nations.

In the meeting, Major General Al-Zubaidi renewed the Presidential Leadership Council's support for all political efforts, regional and international, aimed at stopping the war and achieving stability, stressing the importance of reaching a comprehensive political process that takes into account the facts of history and the realities on the ground and accommodates the central issues in the conflict, foremost of which is the issue of the south, in which the various parties agreed. In the Presidential Leadership Council to develop a special framework for it in the political process.

The meeting also discussed the humanitarian efforts made by the government of the Kingdom of Sweden to support our people in their ordeal as a result of the war. Major General Al-Zubaidi appreciated the role of the Kingdom of Sweden in hosting the donors' conference for Yemen six times since the outbreak of the war.
