Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Humaid, discussed with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Yemen, Muhammad Al Jaber, in Riyadh, issues related to the air and sea transport sector and ports.

The meeting touched on issues related to the progress of the Yemeni Airways company's business and the difficulties it faces as a result of the freezing of the company's financial assets in Sana'a by the Houthi militia, and the options that would develop solutions to ensure the provision of services to citizens, as well as evaluating the progress of projects implemented by the Saudi Program for the Development and Reconstruction of Yemen at Aden International Airport.

They discussed the port activity and the two sides agreed to provide the required facilities for the flow of trade in the ports of the liberated areas to serve the community and in a way that enhances the process of improving revenues for the government and local authorities.

For his part, Ambassador Al Jaber affirmed the keenness of the Saudi Reconstruction Program in Yemen to complete the remaining projects of modernizing the airport and its infrastructure, the most important of which is the rebuilding of the landing and take-off runway and the completion of the modernization of air navigation means and equipment and communications devices, directing the specialists in the program to complete the procedures for landing tenders to implement those projects in the coming period.
