Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed bin Mubarak, discussed with the US Ambassador to Yemen, Steven Fagin, the latest developments in Yemen in light of the international efforts and endeavors made to establish peace and end the war waged by the terrorist Houthi militia.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the bilateral relations between the two countries, as bin Mubarak praised the American support for our country in various aspects, especially in the humanitarian aspect and security cooperation.
Bin Mubarak appreciated the efforts of the United States in supporting and building the capabilities of the Central Bank, stressing that economic support greatly helps in alleviating the effects of the humanitarian crisis and improving the provision of public services provided to citizens throughout Yemen.
For his part, the US ambassador renewed his country's position in support of the efforts made by the UN envoy to achieve peace in Yemen, stressing his country's continued support for the Presidential Leadership Council, and for the security, unity and stability of Yemen.
