FM discusses with Sudanese Interior Minister efforts to combat terrorism

Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed today with the Sudanese Minister of Interior, Lieutenant General Anan Hamed, security cooperation between the two countries and efforts to combat terrorism and the security of the Red Sea, in addition to procedures related to consular facilities for Yemeni students and members of the Yemeni community.

Bin Mubarak noted the steps taken to exempt citizens of the two countries from entry visas, which reflect the historical ties and exceptional relations that unite the two countries and the two brotherly peoples.

He pointed to the importance of strengthening joint efforts to raise the level of coordination and exchange of information with regard to the security of the Red Sea, combating smuggling and terrorist organisations. For his part, the Sudanese Minister of Interior praised the bilateral relations between the two countries, reviewing the steps taken to enhance security cooperation, and the facilities provided by the Sudanese government to the Yemeni community.
