BinMubarak confers with Ethiopian Dep. Premier and Foreign Minister over bilateral relations

Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Ahmed BinMubarak held discussions today, Monday, in Addis Ababa with the Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Demeke Mekonnen Hassen over bilateral relationships between the two friendly countries and the necessary steps need to be taken to further boost the Yemeni-Ethiopian collaboration.

The talks covered a range of topical issues relating to aspects of cooperation including reinvigorating the joint ministerial committee session between the two countries, reinstating the agreements which were signed earlier in the security and military spheres, offering more facilitations for the Yemeni community in Ethiopia and the Yemeni nationals who would like to enter the Ethiopian territories.

It is important to note that the Yemeni-Ethiopian joint ministerial committee held its latest session in 2014.
Bin Mubarak hailed the decision about resuming the Yemenia Airways flights from Aden to Addis Ababa as very important to improve the movement of the peoples and businessmen between the two countries.

He deeply appreciated the cooperation of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia with Yemen, hosting significant Yemeni community and constructively collaborating with the Yemeni government and the Organization of the International Migration about the voluntarily return of the Ethiopian migrants from Yemen.

BinMubarak confirmed the Republic of Yemen's full support for all measures taken by the Ethiopian government to achieve security, stability and mobilize the development drive to realize the prosperity for the Ethiopian peoples.

For his part the Ethiopian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister described Ethiopian-Yemeni relations as historic, deeply rooted, underscoring the importance of reviving the sessions of the joint ministerial committee, further enhancing coordination and cooperation in different fields including about fighting the cross borders terrorist militias.

Mr. Hassen confirmed the Ethiopian government's support for Yemeni government's efforts and the UN-led good offices to achieve peace in Yemen, maintain Yemen's unity, security and stability.
