Aden – Saba
Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, discussed today, Monday, in the interim capital, Aden, with the country director for NDI-Yemen Kenza Aqertit prospects for partnership with the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
During the meeting, Al-Bakri praised the efforts of the American Democratic Institute to establish peace in our country, and its standing by the Yemeni people, its leadership, and its legitimate aspirations to build a modern democratic state in which all Yemenis participate, stressing the keenness of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, through its broad sector of youth, to support the efforts of the peace being undertaken by the United Nations and the international community in order to end the fighting in our country.
He pointed out that the Ministry has a strategic plan that extends for (5) years, and addresses youth issues and their vision for the future and how to participate in achieving the just peace that we aspire to, reviewing the most important activities of the Ministry’s sectors in order to distract youth from wars and fighting, and direct them towards construction, development, sports and education as this is an important pillar in the development and advancement of societies.
