The Yemeni delegation participating in the reconstruction program discussed today with the Senior Vice President of the Japan International Cooperation Agency, Ando Naoki, and other JICA officials the development of bilateral partnership in the development, economic and reconstruction fields.
The Deputy Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Nizar Basuhaib, touched on the results of Yemen's participation in the reconstruction program and the need for cooperation and work together towards sustainable future horizons and the continuation of coordination and work in the fields of infrastructure and rehabilitation, pointing to the importance of reopening an office for (JICA) in the interim capital, Aden.
For his part, Yemen's ambassador to Tokyo, Adel Al-Sunaini, expressed Yemen's appreciation for the support provided by the government through the Japanese agency and the importance of expanding cooperation As it would support the Yemeni government's orientations in the reform program and to proceed with the economic recovery plan to normalize the situation, which is consistent with the Japanese efforts supporting the establishment of peace and stability in Yemen by expanding JICA's development and economic projects and the training and rehabilitation programs it provides, reviewing the most urgent needs at the present time.
