Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Othman Mujalli met today, Monday, with the President of the Republic of Dijbouti Ismaïl Omar Guelleh on the sideline of the UN Fifth Conference on the Least Developed Countries held in Qatari capital Doha.

The Yemeni-Djiboutian historical relations and robust cooperation in different fields was key focus of the conversations.

Mujalli briefed Guelleh on the latest developments in Yemen, citing the serious consequences of the Iran-sponsored Terrorist Houthi militias' coup in all walks of life.

He voiced the deep appreciation and gratitude of the Chairman and Members of the Presidential Leadership Council to His Excellency President Guelleh, the government and people of Djibouti for their supportive stances in support of Yemen and the Yemeni people amid current tough circumstances Yemen has been going through due to Houthi militias' coup and war.

" Our relations with Djibouti are historical, fraternal, deeply rooted and the Djiboutian strong rejection to the Iranian interferences in our country have further strengthened these relationships", said Mujalli.

The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council deeply appreciated the Djiboutian government's support for the Yemeni community in Djibouti who are running their businesses freely and safely, not to mention the Yemeni refugees who fled the homeland due to Houthi militias' war and atrocities.

President Guelleh reiterated Djibouti's support for the Yemeni peoples' struggle against the Houthi militias' coup and the UN-led efforts, regional and international good offices to achieve sustainable peace in Yemen.

He said" Yemen's security and stability is vitally important for us and the Red Sea countries".
