Prime Minister Ma'een Abdulmalik met Monday- on the sidelines of his participation in the Conference of Financing Yemen Humanitarian Response Plan 2023 here- with Swiss Foreign Minister Ignazio Cassis.
The two parties discussed humanitarian situation in Yemen and mobilizing international support to the Humanitarian Response Plan, as well as latest political and economic developments and mutual relations between the two countries.
Prime Minister thanked Swiss government for participation in organizing the conference for financing the response plan and its diplomatic efforts in mobilizing international support to the plan.
He praised support of Switzerland to the government and people of Yemen and its keenness on realizing peace, in addition to its former efforts of hosting talks between Yemeni parties.
For his part, the Swiss minister confirmed continuous support of his country to Yemeni people in this critical stage, pointing out that peace is a necessity to end humanitarian suffering and regaining development and progress in Yemen.
He also confirmed necessity of supporting Yemeni state institutions to carry out their responsibilities as demanded, pointing out to keenness of Switzerland on making the conference of financing the humanitarian response plan successful.
