The government has affirmed its rejection of the Houthi blackmailing of commercial and shipping sectors, and the terrorist militia's policy of tampering with the people's livelihood through suspension, prevention and extortions.

This came in a joint statement issued by the Ministries of Transport, Industry and Trade during an expanded meeting held in the interim capital, Aden, today, chaired by the Minister of Transport and officials from the Industry Ministry and Chamber of Commerce.

The statement vowed to take deterrent measures against ships that violate government decisions and procedures, as well as merchants and shipping agents who violate those decisions and procedures.
