Aden - Saba
In its regular meeting in the interim capital Aden today, Yemen's Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister, Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, reviewed developments in the current situation in light of recent developments in a number of aspects, foremost of which are the economic, living, service, military, security and political conditions, and the efforts made by the government to deal with challenges on the ground according to the priorities and needs of the citizens, and a number of decisions and procedures were taken in this regard.

At the outset of the meeting, the Prime Minister saluted the efforts being made to deal with the current challenges in various aspects, according to the directives of the Presidential Leadership Council, and to build on what can be done to achieve breakthroughs in addressing the accumulated problems and to re-establish a spirit of confidence in state institutions, stressing the importance of these efforts being reflected in the lives of citizens in the basic aspects related to living and services, overcoming emerging challenges, foremost of which are the catastrophic effects of the Houthi terrorist attacks on oil facilities, and mitigating their repercussions on the humanitarian and economic situation. Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik affirmed his confidence in the support from Yemen's partners mainly donor countries and organizations' support for the government's plans, programs and projects, especially the brothers in the Coalition to Support Legitimacy led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, a support that directly impacts the lives and livelihood of citizens and their basic needs for services and goods.

The Prime Minister touched on developments in the political situation with the recent UN, regional and international moves, including the visit of the UN envoy to the interim capital, Aden, and the government's firm position on calls for peace in accordance with the three agreed terms of reference.

He pointed out that the international community is facing a real test in putting pressure on the terrorist Houthi militia and its supporters in the Iranian regime to force them to deal seriously with efforts to establish peace, renew the humanitarian truce, and enter into a comprehensive political process.

We reaffirm that completing the restoration of the state and ending the Houthi coup is an irreversible goal if the terrorist Houthi militia and its supporters in Tehran do not submit to the political solution.
