Minister of Social and Labor Affairs Mohammed al-Zaori discussed Wednesday with Deputy Representative of United Nations Population Fund Hisham Nahru updating programs of woman sector, including issues of gender, violence against girls, protection and enabling.
Minister al-Zaori confirmed significance of coordination and cooperation with the ministry while implementing programs and choosing local partners in accordance with available data in the digital guidebook of Civil Society Organizations in the ministry.
He pointed out to importance of speeding up implementation of Woman National Plan for peace and security in implementation to relevant international resolutions.
For his part, the UN official confirmed that the fund will go ahead in implementing the plan and the fund's programs in 2023, as well as creating unique relations with the leadership of the ministry for serving beneficiaries from the fund's projects in all liberated areas.
Meanwhile, Director of Woman and Child Department in the ministry Faeza Abdulmajeed stressed significance of activating the fund's activities in field of capacity building of women and supporting the ministry's plans aiming at supporting woman's issues.
