Minister of Justice Badr al-Aredha discussed Tuesday with Director of UNICEF Office in Aden Shafiq al-Rahman joint cooperation between the ministry and the organization.

The meeting touched upon contribution of the organization in promoting capabilities of workers in field of protecting juveniles through Juvenile Justice Project and Judiciary Assistance Program.

The meeting also discussed possibility of adding system of Juvenile Justice in provinces of Dhale'a, al-Mahrah and Socotra and extending the period of contractors working in the project for a whole year and possibility that contracted lawyers handle issues of women in need as a process of integration between the projects of Justice Juvenile and Support Poor Woman.

Minister al-Aredha confirmed that the ministry gives delinquent woman an children great care through adopting a number of projects in field of legal awareness, which aims at protecting children and contributing in combating crimes harming them, calling the organization to provide more support for expanding the two projects in other liberated provinces.

He pointed out that the ministry has made many accomplishments in field of Juvenile Justice Project in seven provinces; Aden, Lahj, Taiz, Abyan, Shabwah, Marib and Hadhramout through implementing a program for capacity building of those who interact with juveniles, which targeted law-executive bodies.

For his part, the UN official confirmed that the organization is working on doubling efforts in the framework of available capabilities as this of the organization's priorities in field of protecting juvenile children and working on integrating them in the society.
