The Council of Ministers held its session today, Monday, in the temporary capital Aden presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik.

The session devoted to discuss the political, military, security, economic and services, and to review the progress realized in the implementation of the decrees and directives issued by the Presidential Leadership Council.

The Prime Minister provided an overview about the political, military, security and economic developments, urging utmost efforts to manage challenges in different fields, improve basic services and alleviate the peoples' suffering.

He touched upon the UN's efforts and regional and international good offices aiming to push the political process and to renew the humanitarian truce amid the intransigence of the Iran-backed Terrorist Houthi militia.

Dr. Ma'een renewed the government's commitment to the peace track that is based on the three terms of peace references agreed on nationally, regionally and internationally.

The Cabinet discussed two reports by the parliament-facts- findings committee about what were circulated about selling the shares of the contractors in some oil production blocs and about the contract to establish the Qashn Seaport in Almahrah governorate.

The parliament's committee confirmed the importance of the project of Qashn seaport that will contribute to develop the region.

The committee also emphasized the importance of reforming and developing the national oil companies, recommending constant and effective monitoring over all companies operate in oil sector.
