Removing 4615 landmines from Yemeni provinces in February

King Salman Relief and Humanitarian Activities Center's Masam Project for clearing landmines in Yemen has announced removing 4615 landmines, nonexplosive ordnances and explosive devices in January planted by Houthi terrorist militia in a number of liberated provinces and cleansing 968 thousand square meters.

According to a report issued by the project, the landmines, explosives and non-explosive ordnances were 536 anti-tank landmines, 49 anti- persons, 4023 non-explosive ordnances and seven explosive devices.

By adding this figure, the number of landmines removed in Yemen since the beginning of its work has reached 384220 planted randomly in different provinces and the total cleared area is 43612168 square meters.

"Masam Project has destroyed 1632 landmines, non-explosive ordnance and explosive devices in January," said the report.
