Yemeni-Moroccan parliamentary talks in Rabat

Yemeni-Moroccan Parliamentarian discussions held today, Monday, in the Moroccan capital Rabat co-chaired by the Speaker of Parliament Sultan al-Brakani and the Speaker of the Moroccan Parliament Rashid Talbi.

The talks covered a range of topics relating to the bilateral relations, cooperation and common interests.

Al-Brakani expressed thanks and gratitude of the Yemeni leadership, government and peoples to the Kingdom of Moroccan including His Majesty the Monarch, government and peoples for their supportive stances in support of the Yemeni government and people against Iran-backed Houthi militias' coup d'état.

He also confirmed the Republic of Yemen's principled stance in support of the unity of the Moroccan Kingdom and its territorial integrity including the Moroccan Desert.

The Speaker of the Parliament provided an informative presentation about the conflict in Yemen which triggered by the Iran-backed Terrorist Houthi militias' coup, putting squarely the blame on the Iranian regime for fueling the ongoing war, Houthis' escalation and prolonging the Yemeni peoples' suffering.

He touched upon the Yemeni government's efforts aiming to stop war, make peace, citing the significant concessions the government has made to in order to put an end of the Yemeni peoples' suffering.

He said" We agreed to engage in several peace talks with the Houthi militias, but they opted for negotiations as a tactic only to buy sometime to re-arrange their militants and prepare for second round of fighting".

He cited the Terrorist Houthi militias' grave violations and atrocities against the Yemeni people. He said" The International Community and the UN's agencies have come to realize that Houthi group is a Terrorist Iranian made organization, holds an ultra-radical sectarian doctrine".

For his part, the Speaker of Moroccan Parliament has confirmed his country's categorical rejection to the interference in the Yemeni national affairs represented by Iran-backed Houthi militias.

He also reiterated the Moroccan support everything that maintains Yemen's unity, security and stability.
