Workshop on national strategies to prosecute human rights abusers

A workshop about national strategies and measures to hold violators of human rights accountable for their wrongs kicked- off its sessions today, Thursday, in the Jordanian capital Amman.
The three-day discussions aimed to address challenges, set out national strategies to prosecute the violatros of the International Humanitarian Law and the International Law of Human Rights.
The workshop comes with the program aiming to support the National Committee for Investigations into Alleged Human Rights Violations (NCIAHRV). It is carried out by the International Center for Transformational Justice, funded by the Netherlands Foreign Ministry.
A number of senior officials are partaking in the discussions including Minister of Justice Judge Badr al-Aredha, the Republic General Attorney Judge Fowzi Said and Deputy Head of the NCIAHRV judge Hussein al-Mashdali.
