Council of Ministers adopts package of measures to deal with current developments in economic aspects
[05/01/2023 12:23]
Aden - Saba
The Council of Ministers headed by Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik approved a package of measures approved by the Supreme Economic Council to deal with current developments in the economic and financial aspects, to maintain the relative stability of the national currency exchange and the general level of prices, in a manner that preserves the living conditions of citizens and alleviate their suffering.

The Council in a meeting in the interim capital Aden today directed the ministries and concerned authorities to implement each of their respective procedures and to submit periodic reports on the level of implementation and difficulties, if any, to address them first, stressing the need to adhere to spending rationalization procedures so that they are limited to inevitable and necessary spending, and to raise revenues in proportion to the new variables.

The Prime Minister briefed the members of the Council on the various developments on the military, political, service and economic aspects, foremost of which are the field and military conditions on the battle fronts against the terrorist Houthi militia, with its continued escalation and rejection of all international efforts to extend the humanitarian truce, stressing that completing the restoration of the state and ending the Houthi coup is an irreversible goal if the terrorist Houthi militia and its supporters in Tehran do not submit to a political solution.

The Prime Minister stated that the government is working in parallel with its battle against the Houthi coup to improve basic services and normalize conditions in the interim capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates, as one of the factors towards accelerating the completion of the restoration of the state.
