The Minister of Public Health and Population, Dr. Qassem Buhaibeh, discussed today, in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, with the Saudi Minister of Economy and Planning, Faisal Al-Ibrahim, strengthening aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between the two brotherly countries in various fields, especially in the field of population development.

The meeting, which came on the sidelines of the work of the 4th regular session of the Arab Council for Population and Development, which is being hosted by the Kingdom with the participation of 21 Arab countries, also touched on aspects of supporting the National Population Council as the executive body for population policies in Yemen.

The Minister of Health appreciated the permanent support provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Yemen in various fields, stressing the depth of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, reviewing the demographic, social and economic challenges facing the Yemeni government as a result of the Houthi coup against the state, and the repercussions of the demographic and social changes pursued by the Houthi militia on the future.
