Al-Eryani calls for denouncing Houthis' atrocities

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muamer al-Eryani commended a statement issued by 16 human rights organization condemning with the most powerful terms the slaughter verdicts handed over by Iran-backed Houthi militia-controlled courts against 16 persons from Sa'ada governorate, sentencing 13 others to imprisonment.

In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) al-Eryani noted that the so-called judicial rulings were issued by illegal court as the Supreme Judiciary Council issued a decree annulling the Houthi militias-controlled judicial authorities in 2018. So these death sentences are completely illegal.

The Minister called on the civil society organizations and human rights activists to issue condemnation of the Iranian-Houthis' violations and atrocities." Protests and condemnation activities need to be held to disclose the grave violations and massacres committed by the Terrorist Houthi militias against the civilians", said al-Eryani.

He also called on the international community, UN and its envoy to Yemen to bear their legal, moral and humanitarian responsibility, move to stop the systemic slaughtering crimes by the Terrorist Houthi militias against the civilians.
